The first half finished 0-0, and it took until the 75th minute before Jorge Sáenz gave Leganés the lead as he netted, with an assist by Roberto López.
Seven minutes left to play, Getafe's Borja Mayoral equalised.
The result means the sixth game in a row without a win for Getafe.
